We aim to reply within one business day, and rarely take more than two. That is a target we hold ourselves to, not a contractual service level. If you have not heard back in three business days, send it again: the first one went astray.
Writing from the email address on your account, and saying what you already tried, gets you a useful answer in one round trip instead of three.
What to send where
- Something is broken, or the output is wrong. Email us with the tool or endpoint, what you sent, and what you expected. Please do not attach your data file. We do not want it, and a description of the shape of the problem is more useful anyway: a few fabricated rows that reproduce it beats a real spreadsheet every time.
- Billing, invoices, or cancelling. Most of this is self service in your billing settings, which opens the Stripe customer portal where you can update your card, download invoices and cancel. Email us if the portal cannot do what you need.
- Privacy requests. Export and deletion are both buttons in your settings and need no request. For anything else the privacy policy covers, email us.
- Security reports. Same address, with "security" in the subject line. The security page says what to include and what testing is in scope.
- Questions about the API before you build on it. Very welcome. The API reference answers most of them, and there is a Markdown copy you can paste into an assistant.
Who you are writing to
dedupe.dev is operated by Zen Acquire LLC. It is a small operation, which is the reason support is one address rather than a tiered helpdesk, and also the reason a reply usually comes from someone who can actually fix the thing you are reporting.
Things that are faster than emailing us
- The API reference, including every error response and its exact body.
- Pricing, with the quota maths worked through.
- The guides, for how to dedupe in Excel, Sheets, SQL, pandas, Notion and elsewhere.
- The changelog, for whether something you noticed was a deliberate change.
- Security and privacy, for what we store and what we do not.
